Mia's Blessing

I was just about to start this post with, "Today is a SPECIAL day", then I thought wait I always start my posts with that, and then it occurred to be, its because this year has been filled with SPECIAL days and there is no other way to describe them. This weekend was an amazing and monumental day for so many reasons. John's grandfather, Poppa David (to the lil ones) and his cousin, DJ, drove here from California so that Grandpa could ordain John an Elder. John is now a sacred holder of the Melchizedek priesthood. What an honor it is to have a worthy Priesthood holder in our home. Because of John's willingness to uphold the teachings of the Gospel and the Word of Wisdom, he was able to give Mia her blessing on the same day. The anniversary of John's father's death was March 5th, and I believe it is a testament to God's wondrous works and blessings that these covenants were performed days after this date. I know his heart was full of love and joy watching his son obtain and fulfill these ordinances, his father be a part of it, and his wife and daughters witness it. I believe more than ever, there are no coincidences.
