Museum of History and Natural Science

As I was downloading the photos for this post, I was almost reluctant to do so after seeing how poorly we behaved at the museum. Our conduct was unbecoming you'll see why! haha. To sum it up we put our daughter in not one but TWO dinosaurs mouths, my son posed like a gorilla, my husband pretended to eat like some exotic deer, and then proceeded to dance with a skeleton. But we had SOOOOO much FUN doing it!!!
Overall it was a great trip and we had a blast. It occured to us while we were watiing for the metro with a stroller, diaper bag, camera bag, and two children, that this was our first outing as a family with our lil Mia. Then the whole day John kept hugging me and saying "Look at my family". We ended the day shopping in Rice Village and had dinner at a wonderful little traditional North Indian cuisine restaurant called the Bombay Brasserie. It was delicious. Whenever anyone is down for some good ole Indian food give us a hollar.

Couldn't resist

I love this pic! John is sooo proud of his culture and being half Cuban an so we incorporated that in our pics of daddy and Mia. The tattoo on his torso is a mural of the Cuban Revolution. Even though she's only a 1/4 Cuban, she's also 1/2 Mexican, so we say she is: C U B E X I C A N, and super HOT-blooded!

Photobucket Photobucket Sorry Mia, I had to add these. I tried to put a Calvin Klein kimono on her but it was too big, and she just looked like a crazy person in a straight jacket in it, especially with the inverted sleeves. (to protect them from scratching themselves)

Photobucket Money shot! I always see her smile, I just can never catch it on film. Photobucket PhotobucketWe were doing so well Photobucket Oh a kiss from brudder, thats better! Photobucket

Big Dirty "30"

I had a wonderful birthday luncheon at Chili's with all my girls, well, not all of them but thanks to those who came and those who couldn't come, thank you for all of your sweet texts and phone calls, I love you gals! Thank you also Josie, Jonah, Yanet, Livi, Nathan Bash and Mia for my 30th celebration dinner dinner at PAPASITO'S, where I was sang to and super embarrassed. Special thanks to my wonderful husband for my OH So super serious gift for your 30 year old wife GUITAR HERO TRILOGY BOX SET!! Thats what I get for marrying a rock star!

Missionary Moment

Sebastian is anxiously awaiting his Baptismal day! The Missionaries came by for their last lesson and used really cool science type stuff to get the message across. Thats a good way to get kids attention. Elder Chapell's new nickname is "Bill Nye the Science Guy" On a more serious note, I am so proud of how reverently Sebastian listens to the lessons and even more dare I say shocked at how much more he knows and understands than I do. The Spirit we felt this evening was truly amazing!

Pinewood Derby 2009

Bash and Dad really worked hard on his car, I guess it paid off because Bash got an award for "MOST MACHO CAR"

FINALLY!! I got a pic to post

Welcome Mark Christopher Alaniz junior. This is my brother Mark's baby boy, born on the same say as Mia, in Crystal River, Florida five hours earlier. He's a cutie!
