Ainsley Maxwell Ririe

Her last day in my belly was quite eventful to say the least...I was sent to the hospital for a non stress test to monitor for decreased movement. The doctors were concerned with her heart rate so I was sent for an ultrasound...turns out, after having been head down for almost 3 weeks, she summersaulted herself breech, an event that John and I witnessed the night before while watching Le Mis Christmas evening, this explained the decreased movement. So, they checked me into the hospital and tried a procedure called a version, an extremely painful one I might add, where the doctor literally manipulates your belly forcefully while turning baby whatever way it needs to go, SO NOT FUN! We were warned that the cord could get wrapped around her neck thereby sending us straight to emergency C-section and that there was only a 40% chance that it would work anyway. My husband comforted me with a beautiful blessing and we left the rest in our Heavenly Father's hands.  Another ultrasound immediately revealed that the version worked and so they broke my water before she had a chance to turn again.  John and I were so grateful and just beaming that all was well with the baby and she'd be coming soon, we thanked Heavenly Father hearing our prayers.

came into the world, delivered by her Daddy...a memory I'm sure he'll never forget, weighing in at 8 lbs. 9oz. 21 in. long Dec. 27th, at 8:50 am.

 HI I'M NEW HERE...

We know that our girl was lovingly watched over in heaven by loved ones we miss, and when it was time they bid her farewell...until we meet again.

So glad to be home

Leaving my other babies for Ainsley's birth was nothing short of torture...she was worth it, but I'm so glad we're home now, I would have hated missing this!

We had lunch at the famous Havana in West Palm Beach today...not the traditional Christmas Eve type spot for lunch, but so delicious and fun. 

Apparently lots of celebrities stop by while they're in town...Like Al Pacino and Steven Bauer, who filmed that famous scene in the movie Scarface at the walk up sandwich shop, Havana. So cool!

The Mia doll

This is quite possibly the best project I've ever completed... I'm not a seamstress by any stretch of the imagination, but I can follow directions so that helps.  Now if I can just get the strength to make the Ainsley doll before she's born.

During nap time

I know that my girl is soon going to kick her nap to the curb, but right now I'm enjoying have hers and Beck's nap time in sync.  This is my time to read scriptures, catch up on chores, and if there's any time left for mommy... I can CRAFT!!!

I am loving my chalkboard wall and keeping it updated. We keep our menu, important dates, Articles of Faith, and quotes from the prophet up there, but there is also room for fun stuff. I got this cute little design from Pinterest, and did my best do add every detail.

Hallo-lujah...Halloween is over

Ok the post title is terrible for many reasons but mostly because I am normally all about Halloween....I love it! However, being as big as I am and and less than 2 months from my due date, I've just run out of the Halloween spirit. I still managed to squeeze in the same ole traditions and homemade costumes, but after the last trick or treater rang our doorbell, I was so relieved! Hopefully next year will be less stressful and I will be a few pounds lighter.  (If I keep eating my kids candy the way I am, there's no way I'll being any lighter)

Spooktacular

Our neighbors really went all out on their annual Halloween Spooktacular...They had a petting zoo, pony rides, a haunted green house, bounce house, pinata, pizza, tons of candy...I mean it was like overload, but so fun.  The only bad thing is that Mia's birthday is in a couple of months and this did not help in my planning, she's thinking she's getting this and I was thinking more like cake and punch, oh what's a mom to do?

Peacock and Peter Pan

My favorite part about homemade costumes is being able to make them as inexpensive as you want. Mia's Peacock costume was probably $15 total after my coupons, and Beckham's Peter Pan was about $3 total, mainly because I had to cut up one of my t-shirts to make his tights...I'd say that's a pretty good little budget for these two. They are so excited to put on their costumes and go trick or treating and that keeps me motivated, because as soon I finish a costume the thought "I will never make a costume again" comes to mind.
