Spring Break Vacation 2009- NEW ORLEANS ! Day 1

On our way back to Texas, we stopped in Louisiana and stayed 2 blocks away from the French Quarter. John booked us 2 nights at this European style boutique hotel called the Queen and Crescent, built in 1913. It was so beautiful and conveniently located! We had a blast the first night, we got settled, then hit the "Big Easy" hard. Yeah right, with an eight year old and an infant in a stroller, PARTY TIME! While shielding Bash's eyes from signs and store fronts, we found an awesome restaurant called the Acme Oyster House. Its been featured on the Food Network for its outrageous eating contests, namely the "oyster one" Current champ, Sonia aka the Black widow from North Carolina, for 552 oysters in ten minutes. What a gal. Then we watched a really cool street band perfom. After Bash asked us what that curious pine smell was, we decided it was time to head back to our "quarters", no pun intented.
