Visit to Corpus Christi & Alice, Texas

As soon as we arrived, my Lil Sicily was waiting for her Aunt America, Uncle John, & cousin Bash. How cute is that lil Butterball? She reminds us of Betty Boop! We thought we were going to have to sedate Sebastian to give those puppies back to my dad. We had to check all luggage to make sure there was no smuggling of the pups going on. After visiting in C.C. we stopped in Banquete, Tx. to see some of my dad's beautiful carpentry. Even as an adult I am still amazed when I see my dad's work. It is absolutely breathtaking, the detail, creativity, and craftsmanship his work reveals. Here are some pics of an office he custom built. Every piece of wood, he meticulously placed. The owner of the building was so proud to show us his office and kept telling me how talented my dad is. That made me so proud!

Ririe Girls

This was taken at a lunch Yanet fixed for her kids and grandkids. I love having some girls around. Jennifer (top left), Bailey (on her lap), Yanet (middle), Olivia (on her lap), Josie (bottom left). Yep these are the the RIRIE girls, and together we are some baby producers, camera users, and rarely ever argument losers. haha I LOVE YOU !

Mom & Joe's Visit

After church, we went to Old McDonald Farm and had a blast feeding the animals and taking a train ride around the park
DO NOT FEED THIS ANIMAL John !
Thank you so much for a fun weekend of eating, laughing, shopping, praying, and worship. We love and miss you both already. Good thing you left before Gustav came.

Bash's first day of 2nd Grade

Today is Bash's first day at Timbers Elem. as a 2nd grader. He was so calm and collected despite all of the chaos, and I unexpectedly was too, when I realized that he was like "Mom, I got this....." It's going to be a great year!

Mark, Leti, & Alondra's visit from Florida

We had such a wonderful visit with my brother Mark, his wife Leti (and baby on the way), and my niece Alondra. After staying in Corpus for a few days they stayed with us here in Houston. Bash got to swim with his cousin and went ice skating at the galleria, and we all got to catch up after almost two years of not having seen eachother. I love you guys and cried like a baby when you left. It was awesome having my "big brother" around! We rented movies, went to dinner, joked, and laughed til we couldn't stand it. It was a pretty scary time for me because it was really hitting me that I was not going back to Corpus any time soon and Houston is my home now, but having you all here comforted me because I know my loved ones will always be there when I need them. The Lord works in mysterious ways.

Baby Ririe "Craisin"

This is the latest image taken Aug. 7th of our lil one. Sebastian and I are convinced it's a boy, but John says he still can't tell. He was kicking up a storm and waving at us during the ultrasound. You can see his lil foot to the left and his hand in motion.
