{BLAST FROM THE PAST}

Today I received the most precious package. I recently sent out Beckham's announcement, and one of my aunts (Aunt Lula) sent Beck the cutest romper with little puppies wtih a matching bib and a card with this photo. Debbie on the left is my big sister, the most beautiful sister in the entire world, I can say that cause just look at her, she is. And then Kati on the right is my cousin. I've always loved her name and really want a Kati of my own. It's not pronounced kay-tee, it's kah-thee, oooh Kati, that's fun to say. Ok John we may have to have two more girls to get our Kati, why two you ask, because our little Ainsley Elaine was first in line.

I brought out the camera to show Dad a surprise, then Bash got picked up to hang out with a friend and as usual, I got carried away. I was just snappin pics of Mia like crazy.

By the way Dad, surprise, we got a kitty named Lillie, although Mia prefers the spanish version, Lile (Lee-leh).

{Ansias}

Typically the word "ancias" (on-see-ahs) is used to decribe a longing or yearning for something. Growing up, I heard the 'tex-mex' connoation which was most often used to decribe something super duper adorable like a baby. ex." she is so cute, she gives me "ansias" (it's that feeling when something is so cute, you could just eat them up) It was usually followed by a love tap on the hiney or bilateral sqeezing of the cheeks. This is the only way I can describe the feeling I get when I look at this boy.

Play group GROUPEE

So, I have to really applaud this community for all of the kid friendly places there are to hang out and enjoy watching your kids be well, kids. There are SOOO many mommy/play groups that sometimes we just can't make them all. But it's awesome to have the option. This week we got to go to the library for lapsit (music, reading, playing, bubbles, and ineractive singing and playing), LHPA for soccer tots / gymnastics (dribbling, drills, chasing, rings, mats, bars, & beams), then ended at Chick fil a for MOO group (animal balloons, story time, rice play, and yummy food). I tell ya her calendars full but it makes her a much happier girl, not to mention sleepier at nap time which is fabulous if you know what I mean.

{Let's POT-TAY ! }

I don't know whatever possessed me to start potting training Mia at 20 months? It must have been all the women in my family saying "Do it now, she's getting too old to be changed", maybe it's a Hispanic thing, maybe I'm losing my mind, oh no wait I remember... it's because 1. she was crouching in baskets to do her bidness and then telling me she had gone to the bathroom after the fact and bringing me "wipes & dipes" to change her 2. It's not fun changing newborn mustard seed poo all day + Mia's adult size poo (sorry to be so graphic) and 3. I was dying to put all those cute little undies on her. CLEARLY she was ready! So, here we are week 2 and she's got it down, she's a potty girl now.

{2nd hand score}

I love me some Second-hand sales almost as much as great deal and I scored big time with this adorable vintage tricycle I bought at the Baby daze sale in Kingwood. I've slowly been teaching Mia how to ride it, at first she just wanted to play next to it, but after she got on it, it was hard to get her off of it, I had to lure her off with bubbles. Life is so tough!
